Are they heavy?
No. Most of what makes a hoop uncomfortable is weight at the lobe, and there is very little here for their size.
What are the posts made of?
Stainless steel rather than brass. Nickel release testing is scheduled and the result will be published before sale, along with the grade.

That mark comes from copper in a brass base reacting with sweat and soap. There is no brass here: the core is stainless steel under an 18K gold PVD finish.
